MADRID, Oct. 20 -- The 2008 Global China Business Meeting will be held in Spain's Barcelona on Nov. 17-19, local media reported Monday.
More than 400 delegates from some major Chinese companies and their global counterparts will attend this year's gathering with the theme of "Globalizing Chinese Companies."
This is the first time for Spain to host the annual event. Spanish Prime Minster Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is expected to attend the opening ceremony.
Participants are expected to discuss China's interaction with other emerging economies in the world and how to make joint efforts to prevent the current world financial crisis from turningin to a world recession.
Reviewing the Beijing Olympics is also on the agenda.
Over the past three years, the event has provided an unique platform for Chinese companies to globalize their operations, organizers said. |
