| Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and China Sign a Memorandum of Understanding |

Sofia (mid Nov.)- The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and China
signed Friday a Memorandum of Understanding on solving property
issues of the diplomatic representations of the two countries,
the Information and Public Relations Directorate of the Foreign
Ministry said in a press release.
The Memorandum provides for the two countries to sign a new
intergovernmental agreement at the beginning of next year. The
Bulgarian state will acquire property in the centre of Beijing
and the People's Republic of China a plot on James Boucher Blvd
where it will build its diplomatic representation.
For Bulgaria, the document was signed by Foreign Ministry Chief
Secretary Dimiter Ivanov and on the Chinese side by Deputy
Foreign Minister Lu Xinhua.
After the official signing ceremony Dimiter Ivanov and Lu Xinhua
expressed satisfaction with the successful completion on the
many year negotiations between the two countries on the signing
of the Memorandum and stressed its importance in future
bilateral relations in all spheres.
